There are 17 183 beekeepers in Slovakia and 278 000 colonies of bees.
Main organization is SLOVAK BEE, it joins 8% of different beekeeping groups and Slovak Beekeeping organization /92%/. Next there is QUEENBREEDER ASSOCIATION.
Work with Youth
There are 29 hobby groups for young beekeepers, for example Nova Baňa, Púchov, Záriečie, Banská Bystrica. Beekeeping hobby groups use to meet regularly once a week at their primary school area for a period of school year.
